I have been freelance editing, writing, and proofreading since 1986. 

As a writer, I have 350+ publishing credits on art, art history, design ,and travel; as an editor/proofreader, I review up to ten documents weekly.

I offer writing, proofreading, and editing in two key areas: corporate and academic.

For academic editing, I edit and proofread dissertations and theses and proofread undergraduate essays. In addition, I have written and edited more than 30 exhibition catalogue texts for galleries and museums across Canada and the world. I am familiar with APA, MLA, and Chicago style.

 

For corporate editing, I most often review web and blog copy when working with larger corporations. At the same time I regularly edit and proofread web, brochure, and ad copy for small businesses. I write press releases, too. Often my work with small business involves helping proprietors and managers whose first language is not English achieve polished, professional text.

 

I am flexible in the nature of material I edit.  However, I have special familiarity with visual arts, design, travel, and technology, especially web design and insurance industry software.
